National Educational Support Professionals Day - Wednesday of American Education Week

NATIONAL EDUCATION SUPPORT PROFESSIONALS DAY

Annually observed on the Wednesday during American Educational Week, National Education Support Professionals Day honors the contributions of school support employees. These support professionals provide invaluable services and are essential partners in the children’s education process

National Education Support Professionals Day honors all secretaries, classroom aides, cafeteria workers, maintenance workers, bus drivers and the others that help and do their part in making public schools great for every child so that they can be safe, learn, grow and achieve.

HOW TO OBSERVE

Show appreciation for all the education support professionals. One way you can show your support is by giving them a bag of Jody’s Gourmet Popcorn. Any flavor will do, but the Legendary Caramel will show them just how sweet you think they are, and the Legendary White Cheddar and Jalapeno say how much they pick up even the most ordinary days. Use #EducationalSupportProfessionalsDay to post on social media.

HISTORY

National Education Support Professionals Day was first celebrated in 1987 when the National Educational Association’s Representative Assembly called for a day to be set aside to salute the school’s support employees.

There are over 1,200 national days. Don’t miss a single one. Celebrate Every Day with National Day Calendar!
