WORLD TAPAS DAY
Small plates and plenty of flavorful variety – that’s what World Tapas Day introduces every third Thursday in June.
Traditionally, tapas are small servings of Spanish dishes served with a drink. However, the dining experience has expanded to include several small plates of a variety of cuisines. Many restaurants change their menus seasonally to keep the dining experience exciting and fresh.
Ideally, tapas dining works best when several people dine together and share the dishes. One of the luxuries of dining tapas style is getting to try several different foods in one sitting without filling up on heaping plates. Another bonus to tapas there is a flavor one person doesn’t like, there’s always someone who loves it.
HOW TO OBSERVE
