In the United States, the first Saturday in May is National Fitness Day. This motivational day sets out to celebrate the power of physical fitness has to change lives. National Fitness Day gives each of us a voice to share how fitness empowers us.

Throughout the day, join community events and get moving. Build up a good sweat and share your inspiration. Whether you are just starting on your path or have a full journey to share, this is the day to tell it. While you’re at it, focus on your fitness goals and take a step toward empowering yourself.


Inspire and Be Inspired
  • Try something new. Incorporating a different exercise adds a whole new perspective on physical fitness. If you’re a runner and trying yoga may increase flexibility and reduce injuries.  
  • Add spice to your playlist. When was the last time you changed your workout songs? Jazz it up a little and see if you don’t have more spring at step class.
  • Invite new faces. The more the merrier, and we all need the motivation some days.
  • Find some inspiration. Whether it’s the feeling of the sweat on your face or the satisfaction of making that hill, find the reason to feel better and keep going.
