INTERNATIONAL DAY OF RADIANT PEACE
September 22nd marks the International Day of Radiant Peace. The goal of observing this day is to increase awareness about Radiant Peace and promote Radiant Peace projects around the world.
Radiant Peace is described as the “natural, whole, harmless, and benevolent energy within our hearts.” Everyone is believed to have Radiant Peace. The goal of the Radiant Peace Foundation International is to inspire and encourage Radiant Peace throughout the world. The educational nonprofit organization also strives to:
- Support understanding of Radiant Peace through education and research
- Promote international cooperation of Radiant Peace
- Celebrate the International Day of Radiant Peace and the International Festival of Radiant Peace each year
- The International Festival of Radiant Peace is celebrated in the spring of each year.
HOW TO OBSERVE #DayOfRadiantPeace
Every year during the International Day of Radiant Peace, a special celebration at the International Museum of Radiant Peace honors the day. The museum is the first and only museum dedicated to promoting Radiant Peace. It is located in St. Petersburg, FL where the International Day of Radiant Peace has its roots. The museum features interactive displays and award-winning projects from adults and children around the world.
Many churches and universities around the world ring bells in honor of the International Day of Radiant Peace.
If you want to take part in the International Day of Radiant Peace, visit the International Museum of Radiant Peace. Educate yourself on the meaning of Radiant Peace or come up with your definition. INTERNATIONAL DAY OF RADIANT PEACE HISTORY
The Radiant Peace Foundation International established International Day of Radiant Peace. In 1990, they created the Radiant Peace Education Awards. Children in grades 1-12 were encouraged to submit projects based on the message of Radiant Peace.
On June 22, 1999, David J. Fischer, the mayor of St. Petersburg, FL, made the proclamation. The day is now celebrated on September 22nd. Many cities throughout the United States, England, Italy, Ireland, and Romania have also proclaimed September 22nd as the International Day of Radiant Peace.
