7 WAYS TO BE AN ANGEL IN SOMEONE’S LIFE
7 Ways to be an Angel to Someone – In the Bible, angels are characterized as messengers of God. Through the years, many people have come to believe that these supernatural beings could also be guardian angels. Others believe that an angel is a supernatural being that helps someone in a time of need. An angel doesn’t always have to be supernatural, however. Sometimes humans are considered angels.
If you want to find a way to become an angel in someone’s life, here are 7 ways to do it.
1. Lend a Helping Hand
Do know someone who is elderly, widowed, or disabled that needs help with simple chores? Maybe they can’t mow their yard or take out the garbage. Maybe they need help with snow removal in the winter. No matter what chore they need help with, they will be grateful if you could be an angel and lend a helping hand.
2. Help with the Children
It’s exhausting having small children in the home. There are many sleepless nights and it seems the house never stays clean. If a parent is home with them all day, they deserve a much-needed break. Why not be an angel and give that parent the break they need. Even if it’s just a couple of hours a week, it will be greatly appreciated. If you can’t look after the children, offer to help clean, do laundry, or prepare meals.
3. Give Someone Your Time
Between work, family, hobbies, and keeping up on social media, it seems everyone is busy these days. With so much taking up your time, you might have neglected some of your loved ones. There is probably an elderly neighbor or aging parents who would really appreciate some of your time.
4. Provide a Listening Ear
Is someone in your life going through a difficult time? Maybe they are going through a divorce, illness, or the loss of a loved one. Maybe they are worried about their finances. No matter what the case may be, they probably need someone they can talk to. You can be an angel by being the listening ear they need.
5. Volunteer
There are many nonprofit organizations and ministries that are always looking for volunteers. Whether you choose to volunteer at the local soup kitchen, food pantry, homeless shelter, retirement home, or library, you will be an angel for many.
6. Offer Words of Encouragement
Is someone in your life struggling? Are they having a hard time in school? Do they question some of the decisions they have made? What they need now more than ever is someone to come along and offer them some encouragement. Build them up. Give them compliments. Tell them they are doing a great job. Your encouragement will provide them with hope and might even help them achieve their dreams.
7. Meet a Financial Need
There are many people going through life with unmet financial needs. Some are having trouble paying their bills. Others might be having a tough time putting food on the table. A vehicle might need a minor repair. No matter what financial need it is, ask if you can help pay a bill or buy their groceries for the week. If they won’t accept help, give them money or a gift card anonymously. If they are in desperate financial need, you could host a fundraiser for them.
