WORLD THEATRE DAY
The lights dim and the audience settles. As the curtain rises, months of preparation come to fruition, and a story comes to life. World Theater Day celebrates the importance of theater arts as it continues to move, entertain, teach and change us.
Theatre arts are enjoyed by millions worldwide. Productions take weeks, even months of preparation, and everyone must work together to create a finished product. The playwright crafts the perfect plot, dialogue and action. Directors and actors develop characters and memorize lines that will soon evoke the writer’s vision. The production crew designs the stage. Music, lights, and choreography bring the entire show together and the story is told beneath the lights before a crowded theatre.

WORLD THEATRE DAY HISTORY
