Name: Traditional Pie Crust

Servings: 5 crusts
In a medium bowl combine flour, sugar, and salt. Cut in shortening. In a small bowl, beat egg, water, and vinegar together.
Combine with flour mixture and divide into five portions. Wrap dough in plastic and chill for 1 hour. (Dough can also be frozen. Thaw in the refrigerator before rolling out.)
Roll dough into a rough circle about 1/8 inch thick. Use as bottom or top crust as desired. Follow pie recipe’s baking instructions.
