NATIONAL TURKEY LOVERS’ DAY

National Turkey Lovers’ Day is observed annually on the third Sunday in June.  This is a day to enjoy turkey in one of its many forms.

With turkey being enjoyed more often in the spring and summer than ever before, it is the established year-round meat because of its versatility. Ground turkey, turkey tenderloin, turkey sausage and turkey bacon are some of the more popular ways to enjoy this delicious meat.  Summertime grilling includes turkey burgers, turkey drumsticks, turkey breast and turkey hot dogs.  Turkey sandwiches are popular at delis and add to the fast and fresh convenience for consumers who love turkey for its healthy lean protein and tasty flavor.
