Cook: 20 minutes

Ingredients:
2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
1/2 cup granulated sugar
2 teaspoons baking powder
1/2 teaspoon kosher salt
1 1/4 cups whole or 2% milk
1/2 cup vegetable oil
1 large egg
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Instructions:
Heat oven to 375°F with rack placed in the center of the oven. Line muffin tin with 12 paper liners or coat with cooking spray, butter or oil.
In a large bowl, combine flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
In a separate bowl, mix milk, oil, egg and vanilla.
Gradually add liquid mixture to the dry mixture, stirring until just incorporated.
Fill muffin cups about 1/3 full with the batter. Bake 20 minutes until a toothpick inserted into the center comes clean.

Mary Cassatt – 1844
The French-trained American painter and print-maker is known for her impressionist paintings.
Arthur Conan Doyle – 1859
The British writer authored The Hound of the Baskervilles, The Lost World and the popular Sherlock Holmes series. In 1927, Doyle published photographs of two girls surrounded by “verified” fairies. He claimed that fairies and gnomes existed and the pictures supplied the photographic evidence.
Ted Kaczynski – 1942
In 1996, the FBI arrested Kaczynski in connection with 18 years of bombings across the United States. Dubbed the Una-bomber, his bombings killed three people and injured several others. He pled guilty and was sentenced to life imprisonment without the possibility of parole.
Dustin Moskovitz – 1984
In 2004, Moskovitz co-founded The Facebook with Mark Zuckerberg, Eduardo Saverin, Andrew McCollum and Chris Hughes.
