On June 21 the world comes alive with music! Make Music Day, also known as Fête De La Musique, attracts professionals, amateurs and those who just love to listen to all kinds of music. From big cities to remote villages, rooftops, street corners, concert halls and open-air venues, the purpose of this day is to make music, share music and enjoy music where ever we are.

HISTORY
In 1982, Jack Lang and the staff at the Ministry of Culture in France came up with a new musical holiday calling it Fête De La Musique which means both “make music” and “festival of music” in French.
