CLASSROOM – Pen Pal
National Pen Pal Day lands at an ideal time for the classroom. With so many wrapping up their school year, many students may not see each other again until the fall. Some may even move to new schools. While social media connects us in ways we’ve never been connected before, there is still something special about receiving a letter in the mail.
This week, we’ve created postcards once again, but this time specifically for students to send to each other.
HOW TO OBSERVE
Check out this week’s projects and share them with your students and their families. If you have ideas or comments you would like us to hear, share any of them by clicking on the contact us link.
Of course, as always, sharing on social media isn’t required; learning is. But if you do, please use #NDCClassroom to share on social media.
THIS WEEK’S PROJECTS
We created some fun and funny postcards for students to download and print. One of them can be colored or left blank for their pen pal to color. Print them on both sides of 5.5 in x 4.25 in cardstock or on one side of larger cardstock and then cut them out. Write your note and mail it off to your pen pal. This set of postcards will please any pen pal!
