BUBBA

THANK YOU FOR CELEBRATING EVER DAY
WITH NATIONAL DAY CALENDAR®!

Mykelti Williamson brought to life Benjamin Buford Blue, AKA Bubba, for the big screen in Forrest Gump. The Vietnam soldier dreamed of becoming a shrimp boat captain and this famous scene is one that none of us will ever forget.

Bubba Smith was NFL’s number one draft pick in 1967 and played five seasons with the Baltimore Colts leading them to two Super Bowls. Taking home one Super Bowl ring, he continued his NLF career with the Dallas Cowboys, the Oakland Raiders and the Houston Oilers. After retirement, the acting bug bit him and he started in the Police Academy series as Moses Hightower. The soft-spoken character won over millions of fans.

Professional motocross racer, James Bubba Stewart brought national and major sponsorship attention to the sport of motocross through epic performances on the track. Not only did he break racial barriers in the sport with his success, but he also exceeded in style, talent and speed.

One of the few left-handed golfers of the PGA, Bubba (Gerry) Watson’s name fits the black sheep persona he’s developed for the golf world. Watson embraces social media, his clubs have a pink shaft and while he’s lost his cool a time or two, he currently has two green jackets to his name.
