AUGUST – Ride the Wind – Week 2
We ride the wind in August classroom with National Ride with the Wind Day. While the day features hang-gliding, we won’t suggest taking the students on a field trip for this one. However, we do hope to catch a little wind with some homemade, gliders, kites, and parachutes.
While the days are still lovely, it’s an excellent time for students to stretch their geometry and math skills and take them outdoors. When working on team skills, focus on the box kites and gliders. These projects can be started early in the week and be finished just in time for National Ride with the Wind Day.
