“When it hurts to look back and you’re scared to look ahead, you can look beside you and your best friend will be there.” (author unknown)

NATIONAL NAME YOUR POISON DAY
National Name Your Poison Day is celebrated each year on June 8. Over the years, bartenders have made the phrase, “name your poison” popular when asking patrons what they would like to drink. Today commemorates that phrase and is a day to celebrate making a choice or a decision.
It may be a simple, easy choice to make or it might be a difficult decision that you have to put a lot of thought into.
The origin of the term “name your poison” is unknown. It is believed that, when it was first used, it referred to making a choice from some not so good options. It is suggestive that which ever option was chosen would be just as bad as the other one, hence the word “poison” being used in the phrase.
Good luck on your decisions today!!

Each year on June 8, it is National Upsy Daisy Day. This day is a day set aside to encourage you to face the day positively, and to get up ‘gloriously, gratefully and gleefully’ each morning.
Everyday is a gift and if we remember that as we rise each morning, it will help us carry a good attitude throughout the day, whatever the day may bring us. Life is full of challenges and bumps in the road, it is our attitude that helps us over the bumps and through the challenges to move onward with a smile.
Give it a try today. Be grateful and thankful for what you do have such as a bed to sleep in, food to eat, friends and family and etc. Try a smile, see how it feels. It may surprise you that it feels good on the inside also and how other people will smile back. You may just brighten up their day! Upsy Daisy!
